The house is located in Strathfield amongst other large sized residences. The red brick double storey dwelling was very outdated and in need of a completely new appearance. The planning of the house did not take advantage of the site with its large rear yard.

Although the client wanted to retain the existing structure the finished house has been redesigned with a modern appearance that is open planned and has a better connection to the outdoor spaces.

The front of the house was given a large balcony which also created a sheltered entry to the house. Once you enter the house you are greeted by a lobby styled area with an open riser stair. The formal living and dining areas are located near the entry with the house stepping at the rear to a large informal kitchen, living and dining area with a high ceiling that looks out to the rear yard and pool through full height windows.
